James gives us the “picture on the puzzle box” — the crown of life. Every trial, every test, every refinement is leading us toward this eternal promise.
You don’t endure just to survive — you endure to receive.
Heaven is not a reward for effort, but a promise for those who love Him. When you keep eternity in view, even the steepest mountains turn into small speed bumps on the journey.
Personal Challenge:
Keep the end in mind. What would change about your attitude today if you lived with eternity as your goal? Write a short statement of purpose to remind yourself why you endure.
Prayer:
“God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.”
