Trials reveal who we trust. James reminds us not to live with “divided loyalties” — being tossed between trusting God and trusting the world.
When the waves of life rise, we often run to human wisdom first and to God last. But faith grows when we reverse that order — when we ask first and act second.
God’s wisdom doesn’t always remove the storm, but it steadies your heart within it. His wisdom brings peace where the world only offers panic.
Personal Challenge:
What is one area where you’ve been relying on your own understanding? Pause today and simply ask God for wisdom — then wait to act until He gives it.
Prayer:
“If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you… But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone.”
