Week 2 Day 3
Scripture:
Reflection:
The word James uses for testing—dokimion—means refinement, like silver purified by fire. Each time the silver is heated, the impurities rise to the surface and are scraped away until the silversmith can see his reflection.
Your trials are doing the same — purifying your heart so that Christ’s reflection becomes clearer in you. The fire is not to destroy you but to define you.
When you feel like the heat is too much, remember — God is holding the fire, and He knows exactly when to lift it.
Personal Challenge:
Ask: What impurities is God refining out of my life right now?
Pray that your response under pressure reflects the face of Jesus to those around you.
Prayer:
“For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.”
— James 1:3 (NLT)

Lord, thank You that You’re refining me, not rejecting me. Help me endure the fire with faith, knowing You are shaping me into Your image. Amen.
